Boman in Custody

At approximately 4:40 pm Michael Boman was taken into custody. Deputy Jimmy Lemons located Bomen in a field on Antioch Road. Deputy Lemons and on other male chased him down on an ATV and arrested him without further incident.  Boman is also the suspect in two commercial burglaries that the Hot Spring County Criminal Investigations Division is investigating at this time.  He has been transported to the Hot Spring County Jail.

In the process of the investigation, Hot Spring County Sheriff’s Detectives, acting on leads from the public about sightings of Boman, arrested three other individuals.  Derek Hoots of Donaldson was arrested for 4 counts of Possession of Firearms by Certain Persons, Possession of a Controlled Substance, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.  A citizen reported a sighting of Bomen walking down the road on Highway 84 in the Oak Grove area.  Upon investigation detectives determined it was not Bomen, but Randy Hyatt of Malvern.  Hyatt had several warrants out of Hot Spring County as well as other agencies.  He was arrested and transported to the Hot Spring County Jail.  Acting on a tip for Boman’s location, detectives also went to Grasshopper Trail in Malvern searching for Boman and arrested Jane Wallace for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Driving on Suspended License.

Sheriff Ed Hollingsworth and the Hot Spring County Sheriff’s Department would like to thank the citizens of Hot Spring County for all tips and leads in this case.  We would also like to send a special thank you to Ouachita School District, The Arkansas State Police, Arkansas Game and Fish, The Arkansas Department of Corrections, The Arkansas Board of Parole, and all other agencies that assisted in this search.
